Here are the final 21 photos presented in a slide show. All go in order from day one to day twenty one. Week one was mildly chaotic, so those photos are reorganized.

Self Reflection

Overall this three week project was an amazing way to explore photography, composition, and ones own camera. As the days passed on, I could definitely see improvements on how I was taking pictures and using my camera. Changing settings became easy and quick, and the more I brought out my camera the more I became comfortable taking it with me everywhere. In the beginning of the course, working manually seemed like a hassle and I was too keen on it. But as I took on the Second Unit and Third Unit, I found it to be a really enjoyable part of the process. I found myself sitting on the beach for almost hours taking photos of the same things around me and changing the settings to see which would have the best outcome. I loved the environment I explored while taking these photos, and I also found it to be relaxing. I’ve titled this slide-show “21 Days in Sointula” as it explores beach life, seasonal changes. The first week was a little chaotic, as one of the days I found an injured merganser and was getting a grasp on the project, but week two and three brought a lot of adventure and fun. I appreciate photo taking more than ever now and this project has inspired me to continue photographing and editing.

I found it incredibly difficult to chose one photo to represent the day, if I could’ve chosen all six I would’ve because I took so many photos I really liked. After seeing my classmates photos it made me want to re-organize or re-edit some of mine, but mostly just inspired me to go out and explore more photographing techniques. Otherwise this was a really fun project!
