Personal thoughts

  • I found her “fruit pals” to be an interesting topic – As she explained moving to Ontario after her husband died and not knowing anyone around her. To beat loneliness, she created these fruit pals and positioned them in interesting poses to paint. I found this to be a good way of working through grief or sadness while staying motivated/increasing motivation.
  • I also found it very inspiring to see how many mediums she worked with – whether that be separately or collaging them together. It shows that you don’t have to stick to one medium or be afraid of trying a new medium.
