Unit 1 – Week 3 Camera Exercises

Bringing some shoes on adventures.

Exercise 1 – Depth of field

For these photos I brought my running shoes, the shoes I use the most for hiking around Sointula, to the beach I walk most on my free time.

1/250 sec. f/14 60 mm ISO: 250 – Taken around 11 o’clock, weather was variating between overcast and bright sin shine.

1/320 sec. f/14 70 mm ISO: 160 – Taken half an hour from first photo, clouds were covering sun – might’ve taken it too dark.

Exercise 2 – Shoes in motion

For these photos my boyfriend and I went for a walk around Bere Point. I took these as we galivanted on the beach – These are also the only pair of shoes he owns.

1/250 sec. f/10 90 mm ISO:800 – Taken while hopping between logs on the shore.
1/160 sec. f/10 90mm ISO:800 – Taken as subject was jumping from log to log. Showing the blur of motion and playing with shutter spead.
1/400 sec. f/10 60 mm ISO: 1000 – Subject sitting casually on log and swinging feet, ISO might have been too high – the preview picture looked better.
1/500 sec. f/8 50 mm ISO: 1250

Exercise 3 – Hands in motion

Subject was boyfriend working on a woodwork project. Pictures taken from inside the Tarkanen workshop. I believe ISO could’ve been too high in some photos.
